Three Athletes In Contention for Young Athlete of the Year Honour

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.
The event will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the best young player in Europe.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this honour is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
