Finally viewers can begin: opening five minutes of Stranger Things' final season revealed.
The fifth season of the streaming giant's paranormal blockbuster Stranger Things is expected to be one of the biggest shows of this year. The first part debuts on the 27th of November, however a sneak peek of the spine-tingling first five minutes has been released online.
The Opening: An Echo to the 1980s
This installment, called the opening chapter, transports viewers back to the start of the story in the year 1983, after the disappearance of Will Byers.
"Should I stay or should I go?" Will sings while attempting to stay collected in the Upside Down.
Events swiftly escalate into horrifying when a fearsome beast emerges and drags the character to the domain of Vecna. "After all this time, we can begin," he informs the youth while shooting a vine into his mouth. "The two of us, we are going to do such beautiful things as one."
Release Schedule and Big Screen Events
The second part of the ultimate installment is scheduled to premiere on December 26, with the series finale out on the first of January – additionally set for shown in specific cinemas.
Plot Summary
The description reads: "The autumn of the late '80s. The setting is scarred by the opening of gateways, and our heroes come together by a shared mission: find and kill the enemy. However he has disappeared – where he is and intentions unclear. Complicating their mission, the government has put the town under military quarantine and increased the pursuit for the character, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of the event draws near, arrives a profound, known fear. The last showdown is on the horizon – and alongside it, an evil more powerful and more dangerous than anything else they have encountered previously. To end this nightmare, it will take all members – the complete team – side by side, once more."
Behind the Scenes
The surprise clip was shared online subsequent to the series' LA debut on Thursday, featuring cast members including one of the main stars and another key actor.
